Ingredients

1 cup fine yellow cornmeal2 cup Water2 cup Milk (or coconut milk for richer flavor)0.5 cup Sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste)1 tsp Vanilla extract0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon0.5 tsp Nutmeg0.5 tsp Salt2 tbsp Brown sugar

Step-by-step preparation

Step 1

Mix & prepare the cornmeal In a bowl, mix: • 1 cup cornmeal • 1 cup water Stir it into a smooth slurry — this prevents lumps.

Step 2

Heat the pot In a saucepan, bring to a boil: • 1 cup water • 2 cups milk • A pinch of salt • (Optional) Lemon peel

Step 3

Add the cornmeal mixture Reduce the heat to low. Slowly pour in the cornmeal slurry while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Step 4

Cook the porridge Simmer on low for 15–20 minutes, stirring often until thick and creamy. If it gets too thick, add a little milk or water.

Step 5

Add flavoring Stir in: • Condensed milk • Vanilla • Cinnamon • Nutmeg • (Optional) Sugar Taste and adjust sweetness.

Step 6
